What is an application?
To better understand the term, we can say that applications are tools derived from special technological systems that improve the customer’s experience. In this way in Edintel we are focused on providing excellence in our services with quality applications and high technology.
Sometimes when people hear the word application, the first thing that comes to mind is an application for the cell phone, and it is not entirely wrong because, yes there are some that are for cell phones, but it should be noted that not only for this type of devices we handle such applications but for many others.
As an example, and to make this clearer Edintel implements applications in 9 verticals which are: hospitality, industrial, hotel, office, shopping malls, education, airports, supermarkets and banking.
Some examples of these applications
An example of an application can be for the hospital sector where we can track the entry of personnel to sensitive areas such as an operating room or the medication area to have clarity of who and when a person entered or left these places, even if it was someone who does not belong to the hospital staff, thus improving the visualization of people in real time and creating better response times in case of emergency or adverse situations that may arise.
At the industrial level we can mention as an example the improvement of industrial processes using the application of real-time monitoring to control the capacity of personnel within the plant, verify that they are in their respective work areas, ensure that no employee is outside the plant or in restricted areas.
Within this same vertical we can use the application of monitoring leaks and spills to achieve greater efficiency in cases of emergency within the plant and thus take care of the facilities and the raw material on which we are working.
Speaking in the Education vertical we can find our synchronized clocks with the application of advertising messages and synchronized schedules. The result of this application is that we can appreciate the time through a series of clocks completely synchronized with each other to provide the time in any educational center (universities, colleges, schools), and each in turn emits communicative messages of interest to students all in real time.
It is noteworthy that most existing applications can be coupled to any of our verticals, but it is also important to note that applications tend to be both generic and also customized, we refer to this term and as an example for the vertical Oficentros, we can customize spaces or offices according to the tastes of those who work there depending on the temperature and air conditioning, as well as the intensity of the lights.
We can also customize applications for the hotel sector through the use of smart bracelets that allow each guest to automate their room to the taste of each one, by regulating the air conditioning, intensity of lights, control of the TV and its channels and the temperature of the room.
In this way we can minimize the reduction of production and energy costs to become intelligent buildings.
As an example, we can mention for the Supermarket vertical the application of visibility and control of supplies, in this way we can monitor in real time the visualization of the products entering the supermarket and it is possible to control the inventory of products, to have knowledge of important data such as their expiration date and location within the aisles.
Another vertical to mention as an example is the Airport sector where we can find the luggage tracking application, to locate in time the assets of each traveler and see their current location in real time to avoid possible losses and to implement improvements in luggage placement hours at the level of each airline.
At the shopping mall level, we can count on the application of energy savings through measurements of electricity consumption with everything that refers to the monitoring of critical equipment, and how can we improve the experience of customers and administrators? Well, we can see it by reducing energy consumption in lighting and air conditioning.
In the banking vertical, we can have applications that provide security to both customers and administrators of that entity, using the application of queue management and controlled gauging. This application is very important because it allows to regulate the entrance and the way in which each customer is attended, providing effective response times which leads to improve the capacity of people inside the bank and thus avoid crowds and long waiting lines, in general streamlines the service and attention in response times, both for those who work within the bank, as customers who visit it, thus improving the customer experience.
